You can pay the minimum payment with a check to cancel out full debt, Once done then you dispute credit reports and the credit bureaus reflect a 0 balance.
For Example You owe $20,000 on a closed auto loan and are at least one month behind on the payment.
You pay the minimum car note payment and write a letter to the company and also send check with special saying on check. Once the creditor cashes the check then the account is paid in full,
